Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and entry level Appeals Clerk to join our dynamic legal team. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of our billing and appeals process, with a specific focus on compliance with client billing requirements. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and exposure to legal terminology and appeals.
Responsibilities:
As a Appeals and Appeals Clerk, your responsibilities will include:
1. Reviewing and rewriting appeals responses to ensure they are accurate, detailed, and compliant with client requirements.
2. Ensuring all language used in appeals meets client rules and standards.
3. Preventing appeals or billing rejections by thoroughly checking all documents for accuracy and compliance.
4. Working closely with attorneys and other team members to resolve any issues related appeals.
5. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changes in client billing requirements and legal regulations.
6. Assisting with the preparation of reports and other documents related to appeals.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Law, Political Science, or a related field is preferred but not required
2. A minimum of 1 year of experience within a professional environment, preferably within the legal industry
3. Exposure to legal research and a basic understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
4. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in documents.
5. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex legal information.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
9. A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professional ethics.
