Application Engineer (Press Brakes / Lasers)

Quarterly Bonus can be up to 15k per year

MUST HAVES:

• Experience working on Machining or fabrication equipment.
• Experience with press brakes or lasers.
• Experience interfacing with customers.

TRAVEL:

• 70-100% along the East Coast.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct site visits to understand customer processes and needs.
• Troubleshoot and provide recommendations for product optimization.
• Assist customers with unique programming issues and training.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through positive interactions.
• Instruct customers on machine operations, maintenance, and safety.
• Maintain detailed service reports and follow safety protocols.
• Complete necessary training and stay informed on product applications.
• Provide technical advice to optimize software and machine efficiency.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in applications, and installations (minimum 5 years).
• Experience working on lasers, press brakes, punches, system software, and material handling solutions for processing sheet metal and structural steel.
• Proficiency in basic computer and CNC programming skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Deep knowledge of Trumpf applications
