They are seeking an Applications Engineer who will be responsible for serving customer base and offsite account managers by analyzing RFQ (Request for Quote) and customer specifications, preparing costing documents and technical written proposals for OEM (Original Equipment
Manufacturer) and EMP (Equipment Modernization Projects).

Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze RFQs and customer specifications to determine scope and requirements.

  • Collaborate with account managers and customers to clarify specifications.

  • Develop new technical proposals tailored to client requirements.

  • Design and draw mechanical concepts using CAD (approximately 20% of proposals).

  • Acquire cost data and calculate selling prices per internal guidelines.

  • Maintain organized records of proposals and related documents.

  • Ensure full traceability and accuracy of all cost data.

  • Provide technical assistance to offsite account managers.

  • Meet all scheduled proposal deadlines.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) or 3–10 years of relevant experience.

  • 2–5 years of experience in Sales, Engineering, or Proposal development.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), database systems, and CAD tools.

  • Basic macro programming knowledge is a plus.

  • Strong mechanical drawing interpretation and basic algebra skills.

  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English.

  • Ability to work on-site in LaGrange, GA, with some flexibility for remote work.
