We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented AR Accountant to join our team in the construction industry. This is a permanent full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to apply your financial acumen and accounting expertise in a dynamic, fast-paced, and growing environment. The AR Accountant will be responsible for all aspects of accounts receivable including billing, cash receipting, and customer account reconciliations. The successful candidate will also be involved in treasury and cash management operations. This position requires a candidate with a strong background in finance and accounting, ideally within the construction industry. Familiarity with Vista Viewpoint software is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all tasks related to accounts receivable including but not limited to, contract billing, cash receipting, and customer account reconciliations.
  • Ensure all receivables are collected promptly.
  • Process adjustments to customer accounts and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
  • Assist in treasury functions including cash management and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to AR.
  • Collaborate with other accounting team members to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures, and uphold the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Participate in financial audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules.
  • Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to resolve any issues related to customer accounts.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Vista Viewpoint or similar accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of treasury functions, cash management, and bank reconciliations.
  • Excellent understanding of contract billing and accounts receivable processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
