We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Collections Specialist. Direct customer collection contact. Construction lien and bond knowledge preferred. Must have 3 or more years B2B commercial collection experience from a large company. No retail, medical or third-party collectors please.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee commercial collections for our clients in the construction industry
- Conduct thorough analysis of accounts receivable and identify potential issues
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce delinquent accounts and improve cash flow
- Communicate with clients and contractors to resolve payment disputes and negotiate payment plans
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely billing and invoicing
- Maintain accurate records of all collections activities and update client files as needed
- Monitor and manage tax liens and other legal actions related to collections
- Provide regular reports and updates to management on collections performance and trends
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial collections or related field
- Strong knowledge of credits, debits, tax liens, and other collections-related processes
- Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP's, and macros
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with contractors and clients in the construction industry a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze data and identify trends
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
