Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and test all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and machinery.
2. Apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.
3. Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
4. Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
5. Plan and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.
6. Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
7. Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed on time and within budget.
8. Coordinate with project managers to ensure electrical projects are integrated with other building systems.
9. Maintain and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
10. Compile data and write reports regarding existing and potential engineering studies and projects.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction electrical engineering.
3. Proficiency in electrical systems design, project management, power distribution, electrical code, and electrical safety management.
4. Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar.
5. Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, regulatory approvals etc.
6. Project management and supervision skills.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Critical thinking with a problem-solving ability.
9. Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
10. Decision making ability and leadership skills.
11. Current engineer license.
12. Time management and organization skills.
13. Professional Engineering (PE) certification preferred.
14. Ability to work in a team environment and lead projects.
