Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of complex asbestos and toxic tort litigation cases from inception through trial.
  • Conduct extensive legal research and analysis on various aspects of asbestos litigation.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and appeals.
  • Develop and implement litigation strategies in collaboration with team members.
  • Work closely with expert witnesses to prepare for trial.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and legal trends related to asbestos and toxic tort litigation.
  • Provide legal advice and counseling to clients regarding their legal rights, obligations, and risks in asbestos litigation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Must be an active member in good standing with the State Bar.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in asbestos and toxic tort litigation.
  • Proven track record of successfully representing clients in asbestos litigation.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a heavy caseload and work under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
