Job Details
Key Responsibilities
Support the Controller in all aspects of financial management and reporting
Oversee project billing, including progress billings, T&M billings, change orders, and retainage
Maintain accurate job costing and project accounting records
Ensure timely and accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
Assist with month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
Prepare financial reports and project performance analyses for management
Help implement and improve internal controls and accounting processes
Coordinate with project managers to ensure proper revenue recognition and cost tracking
Support audits, tax preparation, and compliance reporting
Participate in accounting system upgrades or integrations as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3–5 years of accounting experience; construction industry experience required
Familiarity with job costing, AIA billing, WIP schedules, and project accounting
Proficiency with construction accounting software (e.g., Sage 300 CRE, QuickBooks Contractor, Procore, or similar)
Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
Excellent Excel skills and analytical mindset
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
