Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Assisting in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
2. Overseeing the maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
3. Assisting in the development and implementation of internal control policies, procedures, and financial planning.
4. Ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
5. Collaborating with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
6. Assisting with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing budget variances and providing financial planning support to the management.
7. Liaising with external auditors and managing internal controls.
8. Providing guidance and leadership to the accounting team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism at all times.
9. Participating in special projects and performing ad hoc financial analysis as required.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
4. In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Strong understanding of financial and accounting processes, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and financial statement preparation.
6. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
7. Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
8. Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
10. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
