Our company is seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent Assistant Controller to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the organization, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing accurate financial reports. This position will play a key role in the financial planning, budgeting, and cost control for the company. The Assistant Controller will also be involved in the year-end closing process, preparing financial statements, and managing accounts payable and receivable.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, and perform cost analysis to identify areas of potential savings.
2. Oversee the financial activities of the company, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
3. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
4. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
5. Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
6. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing clear and accurate financial information to stakeholders.
7. Participate in the year-end closing process, preparing financial statements and coordinating with auditors as needed.
8. Oversee financial aspects of construction projects, working closely with project management teams.
9. Implement and maintain cost accounting systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
10. Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and efficiency.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
3. Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards.
4. Proven experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
5. Experience in managing accounts payable and receivable.
6. Proficiency in cost accounting and financial analysis.
7. Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee financial aspects of construction projects.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound financial decisions.
10. Proficiency in using financial software and preparing financial reports.
11. Experience in the year-end closing process and preparing financial statements.
