We are searching for a dynamic and experienced Permanent Assistant Controller to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our organization, ensuring compliance with international financial regulations and standards, and playing a crucial role in our company's growth and success. Responsibilities:
As the Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing and managing the daily operations of the accounting department.
2. Ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
3. Preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
4. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
5. Managing and complying with local, state, federal, and international government reporting requirements and tax filings.
6. Developing and maintaining internal control policies and procedures to ensure SOX compliance.
7. Working with the Controller to improve financial procedures.
8. Leading a team of accounting professionals, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA designation is strongly preferred.
2. A minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
3. Experience working for a global or multinational company.
4. Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
5. International exposure, familiarity with multi-currency environments, and international regulatory compliance.
6. Strong analytical skills, with a detail-oriented mindset.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
8. Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
