We are currently seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Assistant Controller to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to an innovative, fast-paced, and forward-thinking organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the Controller in managing all accounting and finance operations, including month-end close, audit, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and forecasting. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and a proven track record of success in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring they are accurate, timely, and in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
2. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, and more.
3. Support the Controller in coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances once implemented.
4. Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
5. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting by implementing and maintaining internal controls.
6. Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial procedures, develop and implement strategies for financial planning and profitable growth.
7. Assist in the development of financial and tax strategies, manage capital request and budgeting processes.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of proven accounting experience, preferably in a senior role.
3. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including month-end close, audit, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and forecasting.
4. Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
5. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
6. Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
7. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
8. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to senior management effectively.
