Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our finance team, focusing on cost accounting and inventory management in the context of our chemical manufacturing operations. As the Assistant Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health of the company by overseeing and optimizing the cost accounting processes, inventory management, and related financial activities.

  • Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations and accounting standards related to cost accounting and inventory management.
  • Support internal and external audit processes, providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining internal control procedures to safeguard financial assets.

Process Improvement:
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance cost accounting and inventory management processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement technological solutions and software tools to streamline operations and data management.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices, incorporating relevant improvements.

Job Details

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial analysis within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the chemical industry.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards related to cost accounting and inventory management.
