We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Assistant Controller to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional who is passionate about financial management and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a focus on budgets, forecasting, costing, reconciliations, and month-end close processes. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within the manufacturing industry, is required. The ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin is a key requirement for this role.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Assistant Controller, you will play a pivotal role in the financial management of our company. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the management of all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
2. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
3. Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
4. Coordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting.
5. Researching technical accounting issues for compliance.
6. Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
7. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
8. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
9. Participating in the development and support of internal auditing and control procedures.
10. Liaising with external auditors and managing audit processes.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Permanent Assistant Controller, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred.
2. Minimum 10 years of accounting experience in a senior role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience with the following skillset: AP, AR, Budgets, Forecasting, Costing, Reconciliations, Month End Close.
4. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
5. Proficiency in Mandarin - both written and spoken.
6. Excellent computer skills including advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software.
7. Strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate direct reports.
8. Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
