Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including GAAP, fixed assets, month-end close, monthly reporting, financial statements, general ledger, construction accounting, and real estate.
2. Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to the management team, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
3. Coordinate and execute the month-end and year-end close process.
4. Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely in accordance with GAAP.
5. Oversee and manage the general ledger.
6. Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and integrity of financial operations.
7. Collaborate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
8. Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
9. Support Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements.
10. Stay updated on industry trends and current accounting standards.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
2. CPA is required.
3. Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience in accounting. 1+ year of management experience.
4. Strong knowledge of GAAP and construction accounting principles.
5. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
8. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. A proactive team player with a positive attitude, high energy, and strong work ethic.
10. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
11. High degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
