We are currently seeking a dynamic and passionate Permanent Assistant Director for our Soar Children's Ministry. This role is an incredible opportunity for an individual with a strong faith, a love for teaching, and a commitment to nurturing the spiritual growth of children. The Assistant Director will be instrumental in shaping the future of our ministry, working closely with the Director to develop and implement innovative programs and activities that engage and inspire our young members. The ideal candidate will have experience in both teaching and church ministry, with a particular focus on the Catholic faith.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Director in planning and executing all aspects of the Children's Ministry, including weekly services, special events, and outreach activities.
2. Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum that teaches children about the Catholic faith and helps them grow in their relationship with God.
3. Train and mentor volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to effectively serve in the Children's Ministry.
4. Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment that encourages children and their families to actively participate in the ministry.
5. Collaborate with other church leaders to integrate the Children's Ministry with the broader mission and activities of the church.
6. Regularly communicate with parents, keeping them informed about the ministry's activities and their child's progress.
7. Ensure all activities and programs adhere to church safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in teaching, preferably in a religious or church setting.
2. A strong understanding of the Catholic faith and a commitment to teaching it to children.
3. Proven ability to develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum.
4. Exceptional leadership skills, with experience training and mentoring volunteers.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with children, parents, and other church leaders.
6. A compassionate, patient, and nurturing demeanor.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
8. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
