The Inventory Analyst/Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing the inventory process to ensure accurate and efficient inventory levels. This role involves analyzing inventory data, implementing inventory control procedures, and collaborating with various departments to achieve inventory goals.

The ideal Inventory Manager/Assistant Plant Manager has experience overseeing an entire inventory process. This person works very closely with the Plant Manager, inventory team, as well as the accounting team. This opportunity does not have direct reports to start and is someone who can manage processes and would love to lead a team down the road. This is an amazing family-run organization and needs someone who understands this business structure and has a 'no task too small attitude.' This position is fully on-site but they are a flexible organization that is very people focused!

Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Plant Manager / Inventory Manager, you will play a crucial role in our operations. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Assisting the Plant Manager in the daily operations of the plant, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
2. Overseeing the management of raw materials, finished goods, and work-in-progress inventory.
3. Conducting regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
4. Developing and implementing continuous improvement strategies to optimize processes and reduce waste.
5. Collaborating with the finance team to analyze COGs and provide insights for financial planning.
6. Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
7. Training and mentoring staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and high performance.
8. Creating and maintaining detailed inventory reports, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role; owning an entire inventory process
2. A deep understanding of COGs, raw materials, inventory audits, and continuous improvement methodologies.
3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
4. Proficiency in using inventory management software and other relevant technology.
5. Professional certification in inventory management or a related field is a plus.
6. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
