The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scheduling, site management, and multifamily construction. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of our construction projects. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Assisting the Superintendent in overseeing all stages of project life cycle.
2. Managing and coordinating daily construction activities on-site to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
3. Ensuring all construction activities comply with project specifications, safety protocols, and quality standards.
4. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to resolve any technical issues.
5. Scheduling and supervising subcontractors, consultants, and vendors effectively.
6. Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify potential issues.
7. Assisting in the preparation and updating of project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
8. Participating in project meetings, providing updates on project status, and escalating any issues as necessary.
9. Facilitating effective communication and fostering positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and team members.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
1. 5+ years of experience in construction management, specifically in a supervisory role.
2. Proven experience in scheduling, site management, and multifamily construction.
3. Strong understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
4. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong decision-making skills.
6. Proficiency in using construction management software and tools.
7. Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in construction.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
9. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
