Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Superintendent in supervising and coordinating all construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

2. Participate in the planning and formulation of construction strategy, schedules, and objectives.

3. Monitor and control project budgets and schedules, identifying potential issues and implementing effective solutions.

4. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists to ensure project goals are met.

5. Implement and enforce site-specific safety plans and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

6. Oversee subcontractors and staff, providing guidance, resolving issues, and promoting a positive working environment.

7. Conduct quality control inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications.

8. Maintain daily logs, reports, and other necessary documentation, providing regular updates to the Superintendent and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.

2. Proven experience in managing construction projects in diverse sectors such as K-12 schools, office buildings, hospitality, warehouses, distribution centers, airports, and government facilities.

3. In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelines.

4. Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.

6. Proficiency in using construction management software and other related technology.

7. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

8. Certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are a plus.
