Job Details
We are on the hunt for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Associate Accountant to join our fast-paced, innovative team. This is an exceptional opportunity to take part in a wide range of accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, reporting, cash management, reconciliations, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR). You will have the chance to work closely with a team of seasoned professionals and contribute towards the financial health of our organization.
Responsibilities:
1. Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
2. Maintaining the general ledger and preparing journal entries.
3. Performing balance sheet reconciliations and rectifying any discrepancies.
4. Handling cash management duties, including cash flow forecasting and bank reconciliations.
5. Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner.
6. Assisting with the preparation of year-end audit schedules and providing support to auditors.
7. Ensuring compliance with all internal controls and company policies.
8. Identifying opportunities for process improvements to optimize efficiency.
9. Collaborating with other departments to solve accounting-related issues.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Associate Accountant, Staff Accountant, or in a similar role.
2. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3. Proficiency in general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
4. Solid experience in cash management and reconciliations.
5. Hands-on experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
6. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
7. Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail.
8. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
10. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
