We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Permanent Defense Attorney with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Civil Litigation. The successful candidate will join our dedicated legal team and contribute to the robust defense strategies we provide for our clients. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Defense Attorney, you will be expected to:
1. Represent clients in court, presenting evidence to defend them against civil lawsuits.
2. Conduct legal research and gather evidence for defense strategies.
3. Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, briefs, and other court-related documents.
4. Develop effective defense strategies based on the analysis of evidence and legal precedents.
5. Negotiate settlements in civil disputes, aiming for the most beneficial outcome for our clients.
6. Provide legal advice and guidance to clients, explaining legal rights, potential outcomes, and case progress.
7. Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards as per the firm's policies and legal regulations.
8. Participate in continuous legal education and professional development to stay updated on changes in laws and legal practices.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Defense Attorney position must have:
1. A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 4 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in defense.
3. Active membership in the state bar.
4. Proven experience in managing a high caseload effectively.
5. Strong ability to interpret and apply complex laws and regulations.
6. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to resolve disputes favorably.
7. Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal arguments clearly and persuasively.
8. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to develop effective defense strategies.
