Job Details

We are seeking a Civil Defense Litigation Associate to join our Los Angeles office in the heart of Downtown/Bunker Hill.** This is a full-time opportunity with flexibility for in-office or hybrid work, depending on the candidate's preference.

Responsibilities:

* Independently manage a caseload of civil defense litigation matters with minimal supervision
* Handle all phases of litigation, including written discovery, depositions, court appearances, mediations, law and motion practice, and trial preparation
* Serve as the primary handling attorney on assigned cases, with regular client communication and updates
* Work closely with a collaborative team of experienced litigators in a supportive, team-driven environment
* Deliver high-quality legal work within a 1,900-hour annual billable requirement

Qualifications:

* 2–8 years of experience in civil litigation defense
* Strong preference for candidates with experience in public entity defense, insurance defense, or business litigation
* Ability to take ownership of cases and thrive with autonomy
* Licensed and in good standing with the California Bar
