Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of commercial litigation cases from inception through conclusion, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, depositions, trial preparation, and court appearances.
- Represent clients in a wide range of commercial disputes.
- Conduct research and legal analysis to develop case strategies and legal theories.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents.
- Conduct and defend depositions, argue motions, and participate in arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct in dealing with clients, colleagues, and courts.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- Must be a member in good standing with the state bar.
- At least 3+ years of commercial litigation experience.
- Strong experience in motion practice, depositions, and oral arguments.
- Excellent analytical, research, writing, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong client service skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and technology.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively in solving complex legal issues.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve disputes favorably.
- Must have a high level of initiative and self-motivation, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
