We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and ambitious Permanent Associate Attorney to join our esteemed legal team. This position offers a unique opportunity to be involved in complex and high-stakes litigation cases, providing legal counsel and representation to our diverse clientele. The successful candidate will have a strong background in securities law, financial services law, trade secret, employment, litigation, employment law, energy litigation, product liability defense, and corporate law.
Responsibilities:
As an Associate Attorney, you will be expected to:
1. Manage and direct cases from inception to conclusion, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs.
2. Advocate for clients in court and arbitration proceedings, effectively presenting their case and arguing on their behalf.
3. Provide legal advice to clients regarding various matters, including securities law, financial services law, trade secrets, and employment law.
4. Conduct extensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies and to stay updated on current laws and regulations.
5. Collaborate with other attorneys to prepare and conduct trials.
6. Assist in energy litigation and product liability defense cases, leveraging your expertise in these areas.
7. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions and communications.
8. Participate in business development activities, including networking and client relationship management.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) or equivalent from an accredited law school is required. An LLM degree is a plus.
2. Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with at least 5 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
3. Proven experience in securities law, financial services law, trade secret, employment, litigation, employment law, energy litigation, product liability defense, and corporate law.
4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
5. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
6. Strong negotiation skills, with a proven track record of achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
8. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
9. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
