Responsibilities:
As a Associate Attorney in Employment Law, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Representing clients in court and before government agencies, articulating their legal rights and obligations in the workplace.
2. Conducting legal research and analysis on various employment law issues such as wrongful termination, workplace discrimination, wage and hour laws, and employee benefits.
3. Preparing and drafting legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, appeals, contracts, and agreements.
4. Advising employers on legal compliance with various state and federal employment laws.
5. Conducting and managing all phases of discovery in employment litigation matters.
6. Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients in employment disputes.
7. Developing strategies and potential legal arguments for employment-related litigation cases.
8. Keeping abreast of changes in employment law and informing clients of any changes that may affect their business.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Associate Attorney in Employment Law position, you must have:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience in employment law, litigation, and discrimination law.
4. Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
5. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
6. Proven track record of representing clients in employment law cases.
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and cases simultaneously.
8. Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
9. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
10. Strong commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality.
