Our law firm is seeking Family Law Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of family law, exceptional communication skills, and a strong commitment to client service. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
1. Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations related to family law matters such as divorce, child custody, alimony, and adoption.
2. Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses.
3. Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and provide legal advice to clients.
4. Collaborate with our team of attorneys and paralegals to manage case files and ensure all deadlines are met.
5. Develop relationships with clients and maintain regular communication to keep them informed of case progress and legal developments.
6. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve disputes amicably and cost-effectively.
7. Stay updated on current laws and regulations within family law to provide the most accurate advice and representation.
Qualifications:
1. JD from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and good standing.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Associate Attorney, preferably within family law.
4. Proven experience representing clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and alimony.
5. Strong legal research and writing skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain a professional and empathetic approach during sensitive discussions.
7. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to advocate effectively for clients in court.
8. Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
9. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
