- Conduct legal research and analysis on healthcare-related cases
- Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Represent clients in court and at depositions, mediations, and arbitrations
- Conduct witness interviews and prepare witnesses for trial
- Provide legal advice to healthcare providers and facilities on risk management and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff on case strategy and management
- Attend industry conferences and seminars to stay up-to-date on healthcare laws and regulations
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar in good standing
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare litigation, medical malpractice defense, and long-term care defense
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel for depositions, trials, and client meetings
