Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in bankruptcy proceedings and related litigation, including advising on the rights and obligations of debtors and creditors.
  • Handle all aspects of commercial finance transactions, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating loan agreements, security agreements, and other related documents.
  • Provide expert advice on commercial law matters, including business formation, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation and advise clients on their legal rights and obligations.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, ensuring they are accurate, thorough, and compliant with legal standards and procedures.
  • Represent clients in receivership cases, advising on the rights and obligations of receivers and other involved parties.
  • Handle lender liability claims, including defending against claims and pursuing remedies on behalf of clients.
  • Stay updated on changes in bankruptcy, commercial finance, and commercial law, ensuring clients receive the most current and accurate advice.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience practicing as a Bankruptcy Litigation Attorney.
  • Admitted to practice law in the state.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Bankruptcy Litigation, Creditor’s Rights, Commercial Finance, Commercial Law, Legal Research, Legal Writing, Receivership Cases, Lender Liability Claims, and Transactional Law.
  • Exceptional legal research and writing skills with the ability to draft complex legal documents accurately and efficiently.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to resolve disputes favorably for clients.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations in legal documents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and integrity at all times.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in using legal research software and other related software.
