The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, along with a proven track record in drafting pleadings, attending hearings, and conducting legal research. The candidate should have a strong background in 3rd party defense and insurance litigation. The role requires trial experience and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and provide legal advice to clients regarding insurance defense matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Attend hearings and depositions
• Prepare for and participate in trials
• Manage a caseload and prioritize tasks effectively
• Work closely with clients and provide regular updates on case progress
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and staff to develop case strategies and tactics
• Represent clients in court and at mediations and settlement conferences
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and records
• Stay current with changes in the law and legal developments in the insurance defense field

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to practice law in the state of employment
• 2+ years of experience in insurance defense, personal injury defense, or related field
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Trial experience and the ability to handle a caseload
• Knowledge of insurance law and regulations
