Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for managing a broad range of litigation matters from inception to resolution. Your duties will include:
1. Representing clients in court or before government agencies.
2. Preparing and drafting a variety of legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
3. Conducting extensive legal research to support decisions on legal problems.
4. Advising clients on their legal rights and obligations.
5. Engaging in negotiations to resolve disputes in favor of the client.
6. Participating in depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
7. Developing strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
8. Monitoring changes in legislation and providing advice accordingly.
9. Collaborating with a team of attorneys and paralegals to ensure effective and efficient legal services.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in litigation with a focus on commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and corporate law.
4. Proven experience in legal writing and research.
5. Strong experience in mediation and arbitration.
6. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing priorities in a professional manner.
8. Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
9. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
10. Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
11. A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
