Responsibilities:
As an Associate Attorney, your primary responsibilities will encompass a broad range of activities including but not limited to:
1. Conducting a thorough review of loan documentation, pleadings, and other legal documents.
2. Drafting and reviewing legal documents, contracts, and agreements to ensure they are legally sound and protect our client's interests.
3. Representing clients in court, presenting evidence, and making compelling arguments on their behalf.
4. Conducting depositions and interrogations, gathering evidence, and preparing witnesses for court proceedings.
5. Participating in mediations and negotiations, seeking amicable resolutions to disputes whenever possible.
6. Staying abreast of current laws, court decisions, and developments in the legal field to ensure compliance and provide the most current advice to clients.
7. Collaborating with other attorneys in the firm to strategize and work on case development.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following qualifications:
1. A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney, preferably in a law firm environment.
3. Admission to the State Bar and in good standing.
4. Proven experience in conducting depositions, drafting pleadings, and courtroom representation.
5. Proficiency in loan documentation and mediations.
6. Excellent negotiation, research, and communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
