We are seeking a dynamic, highly organized, and self-motivated Permanent Associate Attorney to join our fast-paced legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to handle a broad range of legal matters and play a critical role in the strategic direction of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and counsel to internal stakeholders on a wide range of legal matters, including bankruptcy, compliance, commercial, construction, and employment law.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive legal advice and guidance on a wide range of legal matters, including bankruptcy, compliance, commercial, construction, and employment law.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents and agreements to ensure the organization's legal rights are protected.
  • Conduct extensive legal research and analysis to support decision-making and provide strategic legal advice.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of legal compliance programs and initiatives to ensure the organization is in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Represent the organization in legal proceedings, prepare legal pleadings, and manage all aspects of litigation.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel as required and manage the delivery of legal services.
  • Keep abreast of relevant legal developments and advise management on potential impacts and recommended actions.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of bankruptcy, compliance, commercial, construction, and employment law.
  • Proven experience with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal staff.
  • High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound legal judgments.
