Job Details

Responsibilities
  • Support partners in all phases of commercial litigation: drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, trial prep, and courtroom appearances
  • Manage client relationships and communications, aiming to deliver strategic legal guidance
  • Research case law and statutes; prepare memoranda and briefs for trial and appellate courts
  • Contribute to internal case strategy discussions and settlement negotiations
  • Collaborate across practice groups (like real estate, corporate transactions, regulatory) to align litigation with broader business goals

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree + J.D. from accredited law school and admission to NC bar (or ability to obtain)
  • Minimum 3 years of litigation experience at a law firm or federal/state court setting
  • Demonstrated courtroom exposure and experience in civil litigation matters
  • Strong writing, analytical reasoning, and advocacy skills
  • Excellent client-facing abilities and collaborative mindset
