We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and experienced Permanent Associate Attorney to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex cases within the insurance defense sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense, demonstrating exceptional analytical and communication skills. Responsibilities:
1. Represent insurance companies and their policyholders in civil litigation matters.
2. Research and analyze complex legal issues relating to insurance defense.
3. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
4. Prepare and present cases in court, arbitration hearings, mediations, and administrative proceedings.
5. Conduct legal research and analysis, and develop litigation strategy.
6. Manage and direct cases to final resolution.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, precedents, and procedures within the field of insurance defense.
8. Provide legal advice to clients, ensuring their rights and interests are protected.
9. Collaborate with a team of attorneys and support staff to ensure the efficient and effective handling of cases.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to practice law in the state and in good standing with the Georgia (GA) state bar.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance defense.
4. Demonstrated experience in civil litigation, including trial experience.
5. Exceptional analytical, research, and written and verbal communication skills.
6. Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
7. Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
8. Proficiency in using legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Proven record of adherence to professional ethics and superior client service.
