The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, conducting legal research, and drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. This position requires a thorough understanding of the litigation process, including trial, deposition, discovery, and legal writing. The candidate must have an active Texas State bar license.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Handle all aspects of litigation, including trial, deposition, discovery, pleadings, and motions.
2. Represent clients in healthcare litigation, professional liability, and insurance defense cases.
3. Conduct extensive legal research to support case preparation and provide strategic legal advice.
4. Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
5. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure the effective and efficient handling of cases.
6. Maintain professional relationships with clients, keeping them informed and engaged throughout the legal process.
7. Stay up-to-date with changes in law and legal practices, particularly in the areas of healthcare litigation, professional liability, and insurance defense.
8. Participate in business development initiatives, including networking events, seminars, and client meetings.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Active membership in the Texas State Bar.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney, with a strong focus on healthcare litigation, professional liability, and insurance defense.
4. Proven experience in trial, deposition, discovery, pleadings, and motions.
5. Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
6. Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
7. Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work independently.
8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain strong client relationships.
9. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
10. Willingness to participate in business development initiatives.
