Job Details
The Associate Attorney will work alongside experienced attorneys on a variety of business and commercial matters. Depending on experience and interests, the position may involve commercial litigation, corporate transactions, real estate matters, employment issues, mergers and acquisitions, finance, and general business counseling.
Responsibilities
Handle commercial litigation and business disputes.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and transactional documents.
Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda.
Manage discovery and assist with depositions, hearings, and mediations.
Advise clients on day-to-day business matters and corporate governance.
Assist with mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, and real estate matters.
Communicate directly with clients and provide strategic legal guidance.
Collaborate closely with partners on sophisticated and high-value matters.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active Tennessee bar license or ability to become licensed in Tennessee.
2+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a team-oriented environment.
