We are seeking an attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This is an opportunity to support a partner in his commercial litigation practice. Experience in one of the following areas:
Mergers and acquisitions
Banking and finance
Healthcare
Creditors’ rights (debt collection), receivership, and foreclosure
Franchising
Corporate start-up, structuring, capitalization, and governance
Shareholder, member, and partnership dispute resolution and litigation
Regulatory compliance and business counsel for assisted living, nursing home, and residential care facilities
Marijuana law and policy
Cannabis and CBD regulatory compliance
Entertainment law
Commercial law and transactions (Uniform Commercial Code), products liability, antitrust, and general business disputes
Intellectual property transactions including licensing, registration, and enforcement for trademarks, copyrights, domains, patents, non-compete agreements, and trade secrets
Real estate matters including the purchase and sale of real property, residential and commercial leasing, and county tax valuation complaints and appeals
Construction law services encompassing negotiating and drafting construction contracts, warranty claims, addressing defects and negligence, as well as mechanics liens

As an Associate Attorney, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of legal documents related to banking, finance, and healthcare.
2. Providing legal advice to clients on a variety of business and legal issues.
3. Developing and implementing legal strategies for case management.
4. Representing clients in court proceedings, hearings, and trials.
5. Conducting legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
6. Collaborating with other attorneys to manage and resolve complex legal issues.
7. Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
8. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current laws and regulations relevant to banking, finance, and healthcare.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Associate Attorney position should have the following qualifications:

1. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the Ohio bar.
3. A minimum of 2 years of legal experience, with a strong focus on banking, finance, and healthcare.
4. Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
6. Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
7. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
8. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
9. Strong ethical standards and professionalism.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
