Job Details

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage transactional real estate work: drafting, reviewing, and negotiating purchase agreements, leases, joint ventures, financing documents, and related contracts.
  • Handle commercial litigation matters: case management, discovery, motion practice, depositions, trials, and settlement negotiations.
  • Provide strategic and insightful analysis to anticipate issues, mitigate risks, and advise clients accordingly.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients, offering transparent updates and clear advice.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop strategies for complex matters.
  • Stay current on legal developments and trends in real estate, business law, and litigation, applying them practically.
  • Assist in business development and client relationships where appropriate.

Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (or equivalent) and admission to the California Bar.
  • A few years of experience (e.g., 2-6 years) in both real estate transactional work AND commercial litigation.
  • Strong writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines effectively.
  • High level of professionalism, ethics, and client service.
  • Proactive mindset: seeking efficient, pragmatic solutions, avoiding unnecessary complexity.
  • Comfortable working under supervision but also taking ownership of your projects.
