A top-tier Texas defense firm is looking to add a mid-level Associate Attorney (6–8 years) to their Austin office. This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants real litigation responsibility, consistent case volume, and the ability to work closely with partners and senior attorneys on complex defense matters.

Job Details
What You’ll Be Doing:
Managing a docket of defense litigation matters (med mal + ID + premises)
Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
Taking/defending depositions and attending mediations
Handling hearings and court appearances (state + federal exposure a plus)
Negotiating settlements and supporting resolution strategies
Partnering closely with senior attorneys on litigation strategy and case development
What You Have:
JD from an accredited law school
Active Texas Bar license
6–8 years of civil litigation/defense litigation experience
Strong preference for experience in:
Medical malpractice
Insurance defense
Premises liability
Strong writing + research ability
Professional, client-ready communicator
Ability to operate independently while collaborating on strategy
