We are on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced Permanent Associate Attorney to join our prestigious law firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial litigation, with a proven track record of successfully representing clients in complex legal disputes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile cases and make a significant impact within our firm and the legal industry at large.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Associate Attorney, your duties will include, but not be limited to:

1. Representing clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in commercial litigation.
2. Preparing and drafting various legal documents, such as legal briefs, motions, pleadings, and discovery documents.
3. Conducting legal research and analysis, applying the law to the facts of the case and presenting arguments and strategies for the case.
4. Providing legal advice to clients regarding their rights and obligations under the law.
5. Negotiating settlements of civil disputes in a manner that best protects the interests of the client.
6. Supervising and mentoring junior attorneys and legal support staff.
7. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current laws, regulations, and industry trends that may affect our clients.
8. Participating in business development activities such as networking and giving presentations to attract new clients.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

1. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A current license to practice law in the state.
3. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in general liability litigation.
4. Proven experience in representing clients in court and before government agencies.
5. Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful settlements.
6. Strong legal research and analytical skills.
7. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal strategies to clients and other parties in a clear and effective manner.
8. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
9. Ability to work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and balance multiple priorities effectively.
10. Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and supervise junior staff.
