Job Details
As an Associate Attorney, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of legal matters, providing you with exposure to diverse practice areas. In particular, you will focus on labor and employment law, as well as municipal law, while also gaining experience in other areas depending on your interests and the firm's needs.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation and filing of legal documents, including motions, briefs, and contracts.
Conduct legal research and analysis on labor and employment issues, municipal law matters, and other legal topics.
Advise clients on wide range of employment-related matters.
Support clients in municipal law matters, including zoning, land use, regulatory compliance, and other government-related legal issues.
Represent clients in administrative hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings, under the supervision of senior attorneys.
Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents for various clients.
Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop legal strategies and provide comprehensive legal counsel.
Participate in client meetings, and assist with case strategy and management.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Admission to the NY Bar
Strong interest in labor and employment law and municipal law.
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a team-oriented environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
A proactive, self-motivated approach to learning and professional development.
Prior legal experience (internships, clerkships, or practice) is preferred but not required.
