Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations for multiple healthcare-focused private equity funds.
- Oversee fund administrators and ensure accuracy and timeliness of NAV calculations, capital calls, distributions, and financial reporting.
- Review and approve quarterly and annual financial statements prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAP and partnership agreements.
- Coordinate and manage annual fund audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Prepare and review capital account statements, waterfall calculations, and carried interest models.
- Monitor fund cash flows, portfolio company activity, and investment transactions.
- Collaborate closely with the deal teams to understand transaction structures and their accounting implications.
- Ensure timely and accurate investor reporting, including capital call and distribution notices.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of accounting processes, internal controls, and financial systems.
- Support fundraising and investor relations teams with ad-hoc reporting and data requests.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
- 1-3 years of public accounting experience or private equity fund accounting.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, investment partnership accounting, and fund structures.
- Experience managing fund administrators and working with external auditors.
- Proficiency in fund accounting systems (e.g., Investran, eFront, or similar platforms) is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to manage complex financial models.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, auditors, administrators, and investors.
- Prior experience with healthcare sector funds is highly desirable but not required.
