We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Litigation Attorney specializing in Personal Injury to join our dynamic legal team. This exciting role will give you the opportunity to work on a variety of personal injury cases, utilizing your skills and experience to fight for justice for our clients. You will be expected to handle cases from initial consultation through to resolution, whether by settlement or trial. This role requires excellent communication, research, negotiation, and courtroom skills, combined with a deep understanding of personal injury law.

Responsibilities:

1. Handle a caseload of personal injury matters from intake to resolution, including pre-litigation, litigation, trial preparation, and trials.
2. Conduct legal research to stay updated on current laws and to build strong cases for our clients.
3. Represent plaintiffs in court, presenting evidence and arguments to achieve successful outcomes.
4. Conduct and defend depositions, identifying key information to support our clients' cases.
5. Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
6. Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance companies, always seeking the best possible outcome for our clients.
7. Attend court hearings, trials, and conferences, effectively advocating for our clients.
8. Collaborate with our legal team, sharing knowledge and expertise, and assisting colleagues as needed.
9. Maintain professional relationships with clients, keeping them informed and reassured throughout the legal process.
10. Ensure all activities align with ethical and legal standards, maintaining the highest levels of professionalism at all times.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the IL state bar.
3. Proficient in conducting and defending depositions.
4. Extensive experience in court, with the ability to handle trials and conferences effectively.
5. Proficient in legal research, with the ability to apply findings to build strong cases.
6. Excellent negotiation skills, with a history of successful settlements.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and work effectively within a team.
8. High level of integrity and professional responsibility.
9. Ability to manage a high caseload while maintaining attention to detail and quality of work.
10. Demonstrated commitment to personal injury law, with a passion for achieving justice for clients.
