Job Details:

Our reputable, boutique law firm is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Associate Litigation Attorney. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers the opportunity to work on complex commercial litigation matters. The successful candidate will be part of a team that focuses on a wide range of litigation issues, including but not limited to, business litigation and employment law. This role requires a minimum of 2+ years of experience in commercial litigation, with a focus on defense.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including pre-trial preparation, trial, and appellate stages.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Manage discovery process, including preparing and responding to discovery requests.
• Develop litigation strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and clients.
• Advocate for clients in court and before administrative bodies.
• Participate in depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Maintain open and regular communication with clients to keep them informed about case progress.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• A minimum of 2+ years of business or employment law litigation experience, with a focus on defense.
• Admission to the California state bar.
• Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively and efficiently.
• Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Strong oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for client interactions.
• Proficiency in using legal research platforms and legal software.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
