Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive legal advice and support on a wide range of construction and real estate law matters.
  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts, leases, and other legal documents related to real estate and construction projects.
  • Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute in civil litigation.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis of laws, regulations, and court decisions.
  • Advise clients regarding ongoing litigation or to explain legal rights, obligations, and legal issues.
  • Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
  • Coordinate with a team of legal professionals and paralegals for case preparation.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and legal changes that may impact the company's business.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior attorneys or partners.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the state.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of law practice experience, specifically in construction law and real estate law.
  • Excellent knowledge of federal, state, and local laws.
  • Proven background in drafting, negotiating and reviewing legal documents.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to develop legal strategies and arguments.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve disputes in a manner that minimizes potential legal risks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
