Our firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Tax Executive to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice on tax, compensation, employee benefits, company representation, compensation disclosure, and transactional matters. This role is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned attorney who is passionate about tax law and is looking to take their career to the next level within a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide expert advice on tax matters including tax compliance, planning, and strategy.
2. Prepare, review and negotiate tax provisions in transactional documents.
3. Represent the company in tax disputes and negotiations.
4. Advise on compensation and employee benefits matters, including executive compensation and equity plans.
5. Ensure compliance with all tax-related disclosure requirements.
6. Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and risks.
7. Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors.


Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required.
2. A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a tax attorney, preferably in the legal industry.
3. Strong knowledge of tax laws, compensation, employee benefits, and company representation.
4. Proven experience in compensation disclosure and transactional matters.
5. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve complex tax issues.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Admission to the state bar is required.
10. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a Master of Laws (LLM) in Taxation would be a plus.
