We are in search of a highly motivated, dedicated, and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role will allow you to demonstrate your passion for animal care in a challenging and supportive environment. As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health conditions, performing surgical procedures, and ensuring the overall well-being of our patients. This is a permanent position requiring a minimum of 5 years of experience in the veterinary field.

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health conditions, performing surgical procedures, and ensuring the overall well-being of our patients. This is a permanent position requiring a minimum of 5 years of experience in the veterinary field.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat various diseases, illnesses, and injuries in animals, primarily pets.
- Perform complex surgical procedures, ensuring the utmost safety and care for each patient.
- Administer anesthesia prior to procedures, monitor vital signs during surgery, and provide post-operative care.
- Use diagnostic imaging technology to identify health issues and develop treatment plans.
- Conduct laboratory tests to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of animal health issues.
- Provide emergency veterinary services as required.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Lead and train junior staff in surgical procedures and proper animal care.
- Maintain detailed records of patient visits, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and integrate them into the practice when appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Veterinary Surgeon or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in various surgical procedures, anesthesia, and diagnostic imaging.
- Experience in a laboratory setting with the ability to conduct and interpret various tests.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills with the ability to make quick decisions in emergency situations.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge and experience in internal medicine and animal care.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience training and mentoring junior staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and professionalism.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
- Current licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the state.
- Experience working in an animal hospital or similar setting is preferred.
- Must be comfortable working with a variety of animal species.
- Physical stamina for standing for long periods and performing surgical procedures.
