Job Details

  • Provide legal counsel and support to K-12 schools and community colleges on a wide range of operational and legal matters.
  • Handle both transactional and litigation support in areas such as real estate transactions, leases, public contracting, and construction procurement.
  • Advise on contract negotiations, drafting, and compliance for various agreements, including vendor and service contracts.
  • Assist in resolving construction disputes and other facilities-related legal matters.
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, opinions, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in administrative proceedings and negotiations with public agencies and private entities.
  • Collaborate with school administrators, board members, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • J.D. and licenesed to practice law in CA
  • Minimum of 4 years of legal experience.
  • Experience in business and facilities law within the education sector is preferred, but we welcome candidates with expertise in other transactional and litigation practice areas, particularly those with defendant-side experience, who are eager to contribute to the education sector
  • Strong commitment to serving public education clients with professionalism, integrity, and high-quality client service
