Our esteemed firm is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and experienced Permanent Attorney in Corporate & Real Estate. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice, negotiating and drafting agreements, and handling disputes related to commercial real estate and corporate law. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial real estate law and corporate law, as well as a commitment to providing outstanding service to our clients. The candidate will work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and will be a part of a team that values collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

- Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of legal activities such as mergers and acquisitions, disputes, contracts, and other corporate matters.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret various agreements related to commercial real estate transactions, including leases, purchase and sale agreements, and financing agreements.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, prepare legal pleadings, draft and negotiate settlements.
- Advise on legal aspects of the company’s financing, including assessing and advising on current and future business structures and legal entities.
- Conduct and coordinate research into a variety of legal issues.
- Provide training to the company on legal topics.
- Develop company policy and position on legal issues.
- Ensure the company operates in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with management to devise efficient defense strategies.
- Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- 4+ years of experience in commercial real estate law and corporate law.
- Admitted to the state bar, Michigan.
- Proven track record with a portable book of business is ideal.
- Proven background in corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial real estate.
- Excellent negotiation and communications skills.
- Analytical ability and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving, research, and legal writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas.
- Excellent judgement and ability to interpret and apply legal provisions.
