Job Details

  • Defend a varied caseload of professional lines matters with an Employment Practices Liability (EPL) focus
  • Handle all phases of litigation from inception through resolution — pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, •arbitrations, and trial preparation
  • Defend insurers, employers, professionals, insurance brokers and agents, real estate brokers, condominiums, and HOAs against claims •arising under EPL, D&O, and E&O policies
  • Evaluate liability, damages, and exposure and provide strategic guidance to insurance carriers and insured clients on case strategy, settlement, and resolution
  • Prepare detailed client reports and carrier communications with clarity and precision

Looking For:

  • Minimum 5 years of insurance defense experience — professional lines focus required
  • Illinois Bar Admission required
  • Strong written communication skills — carrier reporting is a core function of this role
  • Defense side only — no plaintiff, no in-house, no carrier-side candidates
  • 1,950 billable hour expectation
  • Federal court experience a plus
